The Cyberpunk aesthetic_

Finding beauty in the intersection of high tech and low life

The cyberpunk aesthetic has always fascinated me, particularly how it manifests in modern cities. Living in Japan, I often find myself in spaces that feel like they've been pulled straight from the pages of Neuromancer or Ghost in the Shell.

There's something captivating about the contrast between sleek, modern technology and the worn, lived-in feel of urban spaces. The way neon signs reflect off rain-slicked streets, or how ancient temples sit in the shadows of gleaming skyscrapers - it's these juxtapositions that define the cyberpunk aesthetic.

As a developer, I find myself drawn to this aesthetic in my work as well. The idea of creating something new and cutting-edge while acknowledging and embracing the imperfect, human elements resonates with my approach to software development.
