My favorite instant ramen - spoilers its not a Japanese flavor_

Exploring my love for a surprisingly non-Japanese instant ramen

There's a common expectation around instant ramen being inherently Japanese, but my favorite instant ramen breaks that mold. It's still made by Nissin, the instant ramen giant, but it's not one of their traditional flavors, but rather their Tom Yum Kung flavor (パクチー香るトムヤムクン).

My first experience with this was complete by accident. I found it in one of the aisles at the local Seven Eleven and thought I would just give it a try. I was not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. It has become my go-to instant ramen flavor and I always have one in my cupboard.

I don't know if they sell this worldwide, but if you ever find yourself at a Japanese convenience store, make sure to pick some up. You won't regret it.
